Because "buck" converters that lower voltage are generally more efficient that "boost" converters that raise voltage, I typically buy 2-cell (18650) flashlights; also twice the mAh. So I nearly always charge 2 batteries at once. I carry a spare set with me, and this is a light, compact, simple charger when I swap batteries.
If you want fancy, get something with a readout, or programmable, or whatever -- but you're going to spend $45-100 dollars, and it is going to sit at home. If you want a cheap, highly portable charger to go in your pack, this one is great!
