    Works a charm

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The heat sinks have got a good quality thermal contact adhesive on the back of them, are exactly the right size for the raspberry pi, and when combined with a 17x17x10mm fan from Maplins drops the core temperature of the pi down to around 25 c.
    Cons:
It's a permanent stick, so don't try to remove the heat sink afterwards. The heatsinks are made of aluminium, which means while...

    Pros:

    Decent and cheap

posted by teozzy on 02/18/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Great value for money. Perfect size for smaller PCBs such as routers and RAM on graphics card. Heat sinks also came with thermal stickers on the underside, making it very simple for application.
    Cons:
Did not know that thermal stickers were already provided. Ordered a tube of thermal glue as a result.

    Pros:
Transfers heat as expected and has a sticker for attaching. Very cheap. Almost perfect size for Raspberry Pi.
    Cons:
It's quite small, if that's a con (they are made for RAM chips where nothing bigger is needed). Otherwise none.

    Perfect Cheap Heatsinks

posted by ncc74656m on 01/16/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
A good cheap set of stick-on heat sinks for small chips. I installed these on a router that was provided to me by TWC that was chronically overheating. That in conjunction with a small fan hot-glued to the exhaust vents have made it super stable.
    Cons:
They could be designed with more fins which would increase their cooling capacity and a better thermal tape, but for the price ...
