    Pros:
    The price is great! It works well. Fits all slots I've yet tried - including seveal Macbooks. It is very easy to use. The length of the wire is OK for most situations.
    Cons:
    The smell - other buyers also mentioned this. But it might make thieves stay away :-)

    Laptop cable lock

    Pros:
    It works, people can't walk away with the laptop, a good deterrent. The cable is a good length, not to long or short for a table in an average hotel room. Seems reasonably strong. It can be easily rolled up and carried along with the laptop.
    Cons:
    Cheap. Lock mechanism is not smooth. Probably if someone gave it a good yank either the lock or the loop end would fall apart.

    Cheap. Works as a deterant, so if the laptop is in my room, no one will casually pick it up and keep going. A determined theif will just break it but that is not common.

    For the price, you won't find anything better. Definitely makes me feel a little more secure for when my roommate doesn't lock the door. Also I bought two and the keys were different in case you were worried about them all using identical keys.
