    4 out of 5 ain't bad

posted by WednesdayA on 08/30/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Easy peasy japaneasy, just push into an available slot in your motherboard and... hey presto! Extra USB-ports. Four on the back (three of those actually work for me) and one internal, which I use for my bluetooth dongle.
    Cons:
Unfortunately, only four out of the five USB-ports are working. Still, for this price an 80% success rate isn't too shabby.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - The expansion card was super-easy to install on my Windows XP computer. I didn't even have to use the supplied mini-CD with drivers. - Gives older computers (like mine) USB 2.0 capability without hassle and without spending too much money
    Cons:
    - Packaging could have been a little better, however it did survive the trip to Norway in good condition

I'm tired of talk about DX's low price; it is a rule. Intead using conventional hubs, this device prevent's to overload just one USB port with many gadgets, also looking better than a lot of wires here and there. I didn't measured the trafic speed, but is v...
