Great cable – Cat.6 RJ-45 Giga-Speed Ultra Flat LAN Network Cable (10M) Reviews

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

Pros:
- The cable is fairly sturdy, much more so than cheap round cables you would find at your local computer store. - Flat means it is really easy to put in a cable tray or alike. - Connectors seem sturdy and are protected by a clip.
Cons:
- Not an inconspicuous color. On those areas where no cable tray is available a blue cable really draws attention.
Other:
I have only been able to test this with 100Mbit network, no gigabit yet. On my tests the cable did not seem to limit throughput as I could easily pull 12MiB/s over it. There are many factors limiting overall network throughput, but for 100Mbit networks, this cable is not one of them. Perhaps someone with a better cable tester can confirm performance over gigabit though.
Bottomline:
If you need a couple of (relatively) long network cables, look no further. These work like a charm, are fairly cheap and appear to be well build.
