Great compact stove – Ultra Mini Portable Outdoor Metal Gas Stove with a Case (2*AG3) Reviews

Pros:
Great stove for backpack/wilderness/car camping, easy to use, small and lightweight.
Small enough to fit in a pocket, worked on butane/propane combo fuel from Canadian Tire - easy to find fuel, and many other better sources than CT.
Lighter was convenient, one or two presses and it lit.
No explosions, burns, or other issues :-)
Cons:
Wasn't free? Really, it was fantastic value, and compares with $50+ stoves from fancy camping retailers. There are two cons encountered:
- lighter is a bit loose, has some play
- large smooth bottom aluminum pots/pans didn't want to sit on top of it if it wasn't perfectly level. They tended to slide easily... smaller ones no issue, stainless steel no issue.
Other:
Did some canoe camping in Frontenac Park recently and took this little stove... was going to only bring it (it's from DX, it has to work! right?), but my wife insisted a backup stove come along... the 25yr old Coleman 505 threw more heat in the wind, but wasn't really needed, and is always a little sketchy until it warms up. The 505 threw more heat (and light with 1-2' flames on startup), but the DX stove was safer, easier to use/light/carry/fuel/store/..., and reliable.
Bottomline:
Get one.
