Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week
Solid glass lens, over 3 1/4 inches in dia.
Sturdy plastic housing
Adequate lighting, with slide switch
It's not an LED, it's an incandescent bulb!
The bulb on one of the ones I ordered was a bit misaligned in the mount, but a little bending fixed it.
I'd wondered why they'd use 2 AAs to power an LED, but when I used a jeweler's loupe to see the lamp, I saw the filament.
Still, you likely wouldn't use the light much, and 1 bulb should last a lot longer than a few sets of batteries over the years.
A large diameter reading magnifier, with light, for well under $10 is a good deal.
