Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month
The "Lichao LC-6" is an inexpensive device which accommodates a wide variety of flashlight widths, thanks to its use of an elastic rubber strap as the flashlight retention mechanism.
The worm-drive band is an interesting design element that allows for mounting and adjustment without tools.
The tip of the worm-drive band is not threaded, and tends to get scratched up by the drive gear when fully pulled out (as was necessary during mounting). This is a minor and barely noticeable cosmetic issue.
As with other lightweight plastic/rubber clips, it remains to be seen how well it will hold up over time, or if the swivel hinge or band adjustment mechanism will loosen over time. I would avoid using it with a long or heavy flashlight.
The upper flashlight mount is detachable from the lower bicycle mounting section.
Inexpensive mount with an interesting design that allows for completely tool-less mounting and adjustment.
