The price is, of course, great. The same sort of item costs 25 to 30 bucks at retail stores.
I plugged it in to my DVR for Verizon FiOS service, going to my new Samsung 7000 HDTV. Looks beautiful.
So here's the deal. I plug it in to the Samsung DVD player that matches up with my TV. They have the Anynet service. So the TV remote can control the DVD player through the HDMI cable.
It works fine when I use the expensive cable that I bought at the store.
But when I use the cable I got from DealExtreme, it doesn't work.
I tried switching it with the one that is working on the DVR, and that one didn't work either. So it's not a flaw between one cable and another. It's the cable design.
Works great connecting some devices. Won't work at all with others. This claims to be a v1.4 device - the latest spec. But it can't handle connecting 2 devices that are of the same brand and should be easy to connect.
