Priced at $10 dollars compared to the $50 dollar Surefire brand. Seams to provide a little more light than the original 80 lumen incandescent bulb. Should save me in battery costs.
unit is a little larger and will not be a direct replacement. The larger spring needed to be removed to work. As stated before, the light is a little too blue. Gets warm very fast for an LED. Cheap looking quality
The unit puts out two distinct areas of light. The first is a nice tight bring beam in the center, the second is a really big halo around it. Higher quality LED Surefires have no outer halo.
If it can save me battery life then it's work the cash. I would have to see the $50 Surefire version before I can be too critical. This could be a good upgrade on a G2 if you ever burn out your original bulb.
