    Cons:
i didn´t found any cons yet. Maybe only some of them came uncharged..

    Pros:
These are great protected cells I think the stated capacity is pretty accurate Hold voltage well under load Size is pretty close to a regular AA Nipple tip so no need for magnets Protection circuit works
    Cons:
Plastic wrapping is a bit "how ya going" in places with PCB's not exactly parallel

    AA battery replaces 3X NiMH/NiCd.

posted by lasermanathome on 10/10/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
For inventers who uses existing housing (for example flashlights)for their project is this an ideal product. With a few batteries 7.4-8V and with only 3 about 12VDC. Home made NV equipement can now be powered with only one AA size recharable. No energ...
    Cons:
About 4 VDC per cell, watch out to put them in places for normal batteries 1,2-1,5V, your instrument proably will be destroyed....

    Nice protected batteries

posted by PedroExtreme on 02/28/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Works well in my "UltraFire C3 Cree 1xAA 1x14500 Flashlight" (SKU 1993) and my "Akoray Cree Q5-WC 6-Mode Memory 200-Lumen LED Flashlight with Clip (1*AA/1*14500)" (SKU 16607) giving both lights a very bright light.
    Cons:
Seems a little thicker compared to standard AA cells, and a little longer. The positivepole is a little short, in some flashlig...

Great for the Ultrafire C3 Stainless Steel Q5

posted by gearhead on 11/27/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
These protected cells work excellent in the Ultrafire SS Q5 that only runs on the lion batteries. Runtime on high has been over two hours and the light is still very usable. Not the hot beam at the beggining of the test but still brighter than a fully char...
    Cons:
Too bad they don't work on all AA lights, as the output and runtime is great. The capacity and output is better than the less t...

    The ideal size!!

posted by Bernilupi on 08/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Novice (still getting used to it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Its the most common size of battery you can find everywhere. Just be sure your device accept this voltage. Fit perfectly in most AA batteries flashlights.
    Cons:
The positive pole sometimes dont make contact. Plastic around the battery breaks easily.

May be good for some thing else

posted by scopeguy20 on 07/16/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Seem like they are good batteries. I prefer protected batts. It has a flange that is not quite round and sticks out so I think they don't work in my units.
    Cons:
Didn't fit in my Romisen, well they looked like they fit, but when I close it up they don't work. I think the Neg end is too l...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - Has PCB protection to keep your batteries and devices safe - Price is cheap compared to local stores that are selling them - Works very well on all my flashlights that accepts this battery
    Cons:
    - Build quality is questionable as I've got a dud one (brand new) out of the 6 that I bought. However, DX were very quick to re...

    Good batteries, not too expensive

posted by thefezman on 05/05/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Work well in my Ultrafire C3 Cree flashlight. it does seem a little brighter than using AAs, and the extra runtime is nice. I haven't done any run length testing, but I'm sure it has to last longer than normal NIMH batteries.
    Cons:
Not really any cons to speak of, besides the fact the mAH rating is overrated, but nothing new there I guess.
