Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is a must have if you are going to use a arduino, it makes prototyping very easy. The board it self is of good quality. The mini breadboard can be fasten with a peace of double layer tape to the prototyping shield, but this is not necessary. Good quali...
    Cons:
The is non big cons on this product for its prize, but personally I would like some overvoltage and overcurrent protection for ...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very good build. Really nice to have the option to stick the breadboard or solder your prototype.
    Cons:
The short pins don't make a good fit (to the bottom) if you need to stack it on top of an ethernet shield because of the height...

Very handy addition to Arduino UNO

posted by robphysics on 03/07/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Comes in very handy when you need to connect more than just a couple of thing to your Arduino UNO. Docks nicely to the dev board and includes a couple buttons and LEDs.
    Cons:
None found. I always use it with my UNO as it is very useful when connecting several components, not only because of the mini-b...

    Good Item

posted by kromgr on 01/21/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It is a cheap circuit board working as intended. It has a mini breadboard around 3x4 cm that you can attach to it with a double sided sticker for a permanent attach. It has 2 leds and 2 buttons on it.
    Cons:
The expansions brought above the prototype shield can not be used with another shield as they are soldered further inside the b...

    Nice for small projects

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is OK shield for Arduino. Fits my Arduino Mega 2560 r3. Pins are readable and you quickly know how to connect it. It comes with LED and a reset button which is nice if it covers your Arduinos reset button (the one on the Mega 2560 is still visible (res...
    Cons:
Top analogue inputs are offset so you cannot stack another shield on it. I was kind of dissapointed with that but it looks inte...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
There is nothing really special about this shield. The price is right, and does what it should. The breadboard comes with a sticker that allows you to put it on the shield or use it apart. You can find a reset button and another button labeled SW2. Ther...
    Cons:
It took ages to get to my house. It would be great if it came with headers for leds and the switch.

A good thing to start with Arduino

posted by matej92 on 11/16/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Really good price. It is very good for beginners and will let you make your first Arduino project in a few minutes. You have the option to stick the breadboard to it, or you can use it as universal PCB shield.
    Cons:
The top pins are placed differently than Arduino top pins, which makes this shield not stackable.

    Perfect fit with UNO R3

Involvement:Novice  (still getting used to it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
    - Nicely built and fits the original Arduino board "UNO R3" - I don't have an experience with an original Prototype Shield with Mini Breadboard, but this one looks very professional and high quality - Very simple to use, doesn't need any manual, a...
    Cons:
So far nothing, every pin tested so far works flawlessly

    Pros:
The quality is great, amazing value. One switch for RESET and one switch for general purpose. Has very useful SOIC pad for surface-mount parts. Supplied breadboard is perfect fir for the PCB. Additional headers at the top of the board provide power for the...
    Cons:
Surface-mount resistors for the LEDs would make it look much more professional.

    Very useful shield

posted by sablier94 on 08/03/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
We can choose if we want to stick the breadboard or keep the soldering area. There is already 5 pins for GND and 5 other for VCC. It's very well in every project you made with an Arduino.
    Cons:
This is very difficult to know how to use the leds and the bottons included. This will be great to have explainations.
