Maybe (short) test-leads in some situations (on bench testing, where long leads tend to get in a way). They also do not show excessive resistance like some other cheap leads.
* It's use is very limited ... you know it when you buy it ... so it's not so strong con. Eg. Resistance measurement only form 10x on ... you won't notice difference between 3 and 3.5 ohm on scale ... especially because it lacks antiparalax mirror. Narrow (unprecise) reading of interesting 1.2 to 1.5 V range of common bateries (on lowest = 10V scale)
* BAD BAD mechanical quality. Movement is practically useless. It even does not stop on zero (0) each time after measuring (it can rest up to on 3 of 100 when unloaded). Movement also bumps against some internal obstacle at cca 2/3 of scale, hardly going over it. I measured line (230V AC) and it showed cca 180 V when every other meter I own show proper voltage around 230V.
Battery not included doesn't count as "Con", as it is not promised and so not expected at low cost items.
