Lightweight yet sturdy for a radio of this size. No loose plastic parts.
Relatively easy to use.
Second harmonic on VHF is only 20 dB down. Needs modifying the VHF band filter chain if a non-stock antenna is to be used.
Really bad selectivity of RF front end. Another transmitter nearby on the same band may completely destroy reception. Deaf in areas where the spectrum is crowded.
The software may be newer than covered by the manual; the latest manuals can be obtained in PDF.
Has a standard SMA-A female antenna connector.
If you're looking for a budget portable transceiver, go for it.
