amazing device that makes wii HDMI compatible

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I am lucky to find this device. it is small works well, cheap and doesn't take additional plug into the electrical socket. I needed Wii to plug HDMI into my home theatre, but with composite cables, it was not working correctly, I was only getting audio, no...
    Cons:
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The alternative solutions to my problem was either more expensive or consumed more floor space. I ...

    Does what it says

posted by bfpo38 on 02/18/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
After opening the box it was obvious what to do. Just remove the old cable with RCA connectors, plug this little baby in, and connect a HDMI cable to it from the tv. After turning on the Wii, the channel on my tv automatically changed to it.
    Cons:
Doesn't improve picture quality of a noticeable level, but removes the ugly RCA cable.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Connected perfectly to the back of the wii and to my hdmi monitor and speakers. Works very well.
    Cons:
It would have been better with an audio connector and hdmi cable to boot, but not a show stopper. Makes the depth of the Wii a...

Been looking for something like this

posted by mmmkt on 12/14/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I have been looking for something like this for awhile. I hated dealing with all extra wires of component cables. This also made the wii easier pick up and take over to a friends house
    Cons:
The price is a little higher than what I expected for an adapter. And I am still not sure how to switch between 720 to 1080. ...

    It works

posted by pedram on 11/20/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It pretty much works. There's not much else to say. It's great being able to connect my Wii to my A/V amp via HDMI and have it then send the signal to my projector. They really should have included HDMI connectivity in the Wii. True it's not HD, but an ...
    Cons:
I suppose it could have been a little cheaper, but for what it does it's not a bad price.

    Pros:
After replacing my TV, I stuck without the ability to connect my Wii to it, hence it was off for a long time. Gave this adapter a chance, and got my Wii experience back. Perfect image quality (can't really compare it to what it was before, but the bottom li...

Reasonable casing, but works as intended

posted by deld1ablo on 09/12/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
-Works perfectly to get 480p output -Extra audio port is really nice, if you need it -Roughly the same white color too, so it fits in quite nicely
    Cons:
The casing is of a plastic material that is not good at leading heat. Resulting in it feeling hot. The solderig is likely good ...

    Wii to hdmi

posted by Dread73 on 09/04/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Does what it says, it converts de analog signal in to a hdmi signal. Even the audio is supported by hdmi, I don't no why there's a 3.5 mm audio plug.
    Cons:
I didn't expect to get a better picture quality, and so it is. You can't turn an ugly duckling, into a swan. Really no cons a...
