+ Works under Linux. I tested on Debian Squeeze 32 bit. No need to download drivers, the ones that come with the kernel work.
+ Seems very acurate.
+ Update ever 1 second.
+ Has a LED that blinks while tracking and stays on when locked.
+ Comes with a short usb cord.
+ Good construction
+ Serial connection works with a big number of applications
+ The manual is not clear, it does not say much and is not very helpful
+ It can take up to 50s to lock the first time the GPS starts.
+ The cord is helpful, it would be nice if it was longer, but that maybe is too much to ask for the price.
+ Seaclear: under Win 7 and Debian using Wine
+ OpenCPN: under Win 7 and Debian
The GPS fits my needs and it's much cheaper that buying a stand-alone GPS unit.
I have not tried it on the road. So I can't tell how does it work while driving.
