Arrived in perfect shape. Contains 1xNano board, 1xUSB cable, 1x6-pin header. Works normally after installing the arduino bootloader (see other thoughts for useful links).
Install Arduino IDE, connect the board and you will be able to install the FTDI (USB) driver for the board. However the chip did not have the bootloader installed, and the IDE is unable to upload sketches to it (IDE accuses synchronization problems with the board).
Manual install of bootloader using an AVR JTAGICE mkII and AVR tools on Windows:
1/ solder the 6-pin ICSP header to the Nano board.
2/ JTAGICE mkII has a 10-pin JTAG header, check the following link for the correspondence with the 6-pin ISP header:
3/ Download AVR Studio 4, install it.
4/ Connect the mkII to the Nano, power the Nano (via USB or external supply)
5/ Open AVR Studio -> Program AVR -> Select ATMEGA328p
6/ Program Fuses -> According to boards.txt atmega328.bootloader.low_fuses=0xFF
7/ Program Flash -> Nano bootloader found in the Arduino IDE installation folders.
8/ Done. Unplug mkII. And start using the USB to load your sketches.
For those with a parallel port:
