A very useful cheap CREE LED flashlight

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I seems rather reliable metalic construction. Fits your hand very well. Light beam is pretty strong, it definetely manages all needs, I use it for my car. When it's getting dark, and I need to find something, or check fluid levels etc. And using AA batterie...
    Cons:
I saw 2 cons. 1. When you turn off head with lens, there is no rubber ring, and seems it's the most weak point for water ressis...

    Strong and small

posted by robertoalcantar on 07/24/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very strong and small flashlight. Their lens can be adjusted to strong and focused or soft and diffuse light. The metal body is very solid and seems resistant, but still light enough. They have a special flashing/strobe mode that is very useful to signa...
    Cons:
Nothing really. The led shape is visible at maximum zooming (square) but this is not a real problem.

    Pros:
Very solid feel. Heavy. Body from metal. Easy to use. Nice, soft on-off button. Very good throw. Very bright even on AA. Nice shape. Nice to hold.
    Cons:
All threads/screw a bit rough. Focus maximum have the shape of the LED (square). Bad light distribution. Clip almost useless. ...

    Great small light

posted by Grunsven on 06/16/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Small light that easily fits in a bag or pocket. High and low level so plenty of light when needed but lasts long with a single AA on low. Zooming works great, with very nice even illumination, no donut or dark fringes. When a spot is needed, you can focus ...
    Cons:
Who needs strobe? it is just annoying if you shift between modes. When not zoomed out completely the ring rattles a bit.

    Very nice flashlight

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a great little flashlight that includes a 3-mode push button switch on the rear cap. The three modes are "High Beam", "Low Beam", and "Flash". It appears to flash at somewhere between 5-10 Hz. It is black with a silv...
    Cons:
None that I am aware of other than the fact that the clip appears to be non-removable.

    Bright and uniform beam

posted by 0x4452 on 05/16/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - 3 modes: bright, dim and strobe toggled by the power switch - very uniform & refocusable beam - well machined - switch is in a cavity, making incidental switch-on hard - even with AA battery, it is the brightest I've seen, but that's quite subjective
    Cons:
    - a little bulky & heavy - trying to get the battery out by turning the body, might actually open the LED compartment which...

    Pros:
Very good lantern, has a very solid body, made ??of metal possesses rubber that protects the battery from the water, a lens variable cool for a distance of about 30 meters and to illuminate a room of 10 square meters.
    Cons:
It has an LED so it somewhat limits the lighting nothing that makes it lose value.

    Useful, a bit heavy

posted by cadocado on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It gives a lot of light when you need it, but it conserves the battery when you need less light. It has both beam and flood in one light, which makes it very useful. It takes AA batteries. I use NiMH cells and they last quite some time.
    Cons:
It's a bit heavy. It is not waterproof. It may be sensitive to dust. The lens is plastic and may scratch.

    Good deal

    Pros:
Very very useful :) Bright and well built. You can change the zoom of the light spot. I like it.
    Cons:
The clip is way too tight, but that's better than way too loose. I think the lens is plastic and it can be scratched. Only the...
