Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

Pros:
Easy to switch from flood to throw.
Side switch instead of tail clicky works great.
Solid body construction with thick walls and lots of mass.
Innovative internal zooming mechanism
Cons:
Poor heatsinking. Not really upgradable due to poor heat management.
Not the brightest but not the worse either.
Flood beam is narrower than most other flood-to-throw lights I've tried.
Other:
Pretty well designed and engineered except for the plate the emitter rides on. It's very small and rides on top of the zooming mechanism with to solid contact to the body or head to help wick away excessive heat. Not a problem unless you plan on upgrading the emitter or driver (like I would).
Bottomline:
If you have no plans to upgrade the internals then this is a great light that seperates itself from the rest of the zooming torches with it's side switch and internal mechanism. A nice little light at a really nice price.
