Does what it should – High-Speed USB 4-Port Hub with Splitter Cable Reviews

No need for an external power adapter and can connect 4 low power devices. As this hub shares the power between all the ports its best to use it for things that run of the mains such as printers or scanners as they don't draw much current from the USB. i.e a device will not work when there is too much current being drawn from the ports.
If you connect something that requires a large current such as an iPod the other devices will often become unusable or you won't be able to charge. Get a powered hub if you want 4 port charging.
The USB version is confusing, it says 2.0 on the package but windows Vista says its not high speed. Also data transfers to an external drive are much slower which validates this.
Fantastic and flexible for adding extra ports to a system so if your out of ports you can put your mouse, keyborad, printer, and scanner on this and you suddenly have 3 more ports :)
