    Perfect for my son's bike

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    1. Price 2. Ease of Installation 3. Ease of Use 4. Flexibility (in where and how to use it) 5. Ring quality (clarity and volume)
    Cons:
    1. Build quality, while exceptional for the price, not up to par with major brands. 2. Plastic parts subject to wear and tear...

    Amazing performance.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - At widest focus, it's a pure flood! No discernible hotspot. Almost clean of artifacts. And it's not a weak sidespill, it's a bright flood. The flood is so bright, I wish this flashlight had a second, lower mode. - Zoomed in, this torch outthrows my 3D...
    Cons:
    - Build quality is a mixed bag. For example, the head seems to be well-engineered, but you can plainly see dust and hair trapp...

    Just short of perfect.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The Q5's bright running off 18650's. Brighter still running off either CR123's or RCR123's. I like the fact that I can run this light for long periods on a single 18650 and run it on primaries in the event of emergencies/power outtages. Single mode: Off...
    Cons:
Lots of partially attached and loose metal cuttings on all threads. Dirty lens. Irregular lubrication: gobs of oil in some ...

Thin, High Quality, Easy to Work

posted by 1dash1 on 09/10/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This wire is so thin it melts like ice on the soldering iron. Makes for quick, smooth electrical connections.
    Cons:
I originally gave it a build quality rating of 4 because the plastic spool was cracked in half when delivered, making it somewh...

It works, what more is there to say?

posted by 1dash1 on 09/10/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
If you need flux, this works. It's inexpensive. It's probably more than enough to last most casual hobbyists for a very long time. (Most people will probably lose this bottle before the product actually runs out.)
    Cons:
Like others have said, dispensing is the Achilles heel of this particular product. (I use a q-tip, which is not the best way to...

    Reverse clicky, tailstands!!

posted by 1dash1 on 09/10/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Looking at the discussions, it seems most folks are interested in whether it tailstands and whether it is a reverse clicky. So, I put to rest those two questions in the title. :-) Reverse clicky? Yes, very positive feel, reverse click action. (I.e., push...
    Cons:
It can be used as an intermittent switch by partially depressing the tail cap while the light is turned on. However, it is a &...

    Generally good

posted by 1dash1 on 08/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    1) Good price point. 2) No physical defects noted during visual inspection. 3) Circuit overcharging protection seemed to work. When charging, they cut off between 4.17V-4.20V. 4) Circuit over-discharging protection seemed to work for most cells. I e...
    Cons:
    1) The cells are longer than primary (non-rechargeable) CR-123's. They fit my flashlight, but they may not necessarily fit you...

    Great holster!

posted by 1dash1 on 07/21/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
One of the reviewers of SKU# 5264 said recommended picking up the 6.5" holster instead of the 6" holster. So, I did and am very happy with the holster. It fits my Ultrafire C3 perfectly. It's not so high as to stick out too much. It's not jamm...
    Cons:
The belt loop is strictly a slide-through affair. (You have to remove your belt to slip the belt through the loop.) Many of m...

If you need a big holster, this is it.

posted by 1dash1 on 07/21/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Heavy duty nylon material. Stitching and other fitting details are reasonably good for the price. Extremely durable, I expect that it will outlast any flashlight that you use if for.
    Cons:
I have an RC-N3, CPF Limited Edition Multilevel, Tiablo A9S, RayoVac 60x LED, Cabelas XPG, Ultrafire C3, etc. This large case ...

    Useful Cases

posted by 1dash1 on 07/21/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Fits AA primaries and rechargeables well. I like the positive "click" when closing the cover, the latch is much more secure than I expected. The plastic is of reasonable gauge and seems durable. I do not expect this product to warp. The transl...
    Cons:
As others have noted, protected CR123's are a bit too fat to fit. Also, my protected 14500's do not fit the AA case (not as in...
