One of the better knives on DX

posted by Alexkorf on 07/08/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Appears to be well-made. Feels solid. Sturdy blade lock that is safer than typical DX knife. Steel quality less awful than with most other knock-off knives. Good price for what you get.
    Cons:
Surface finish somewhat off. Heavy-ish. Some sort of carrying case would be nice.

No logo is the only difference

posted by Alexkorf on 10/05/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I have compared these brush heads to the original ones and found no difference other than the logo. I think they are made from the same moulds using the same materials.
    Cons:
Have no idea how sterile they are. Packaging doesn't really look medical-grade. I have sterilized them with alcohol and ultraso...

    Expensive, but worth it

posted by Alexkorf on 01/11/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Professional-quality noise meter. Tested it against a 500 euro meter and the results shown were the same, so it's probably well calibrated. Max hold function useful. Comes in a neat carry box. Battery lasts for a really long time.
    Cons:
Battery door is a bit flimsy. Uses 9V battery that is not available everywhere (always have a spare with you!).

Works well, easy to set up

posted by Alexkorf on 01/11/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
A high quality item. Hardware is well made and neat looking. Setup is very easy and there's even a comprehensible manual in the box! A device like this will not shame even a big respected brand.
    Cons:
Indication LEDs too bright and no way to swith them off. People seem to think that it's "plug and play" -- it's not. ...

    Works really well

posted by Alexkorf on 01/11/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Does what is says on the box. Excellent picture quality, sensible menu structure, easy to set up. Tuner itself is small and unobtrusive. Handles various display aspect ratios correctly. Good signal sensitivity.
    Cons:
Not particularly responsive when one is setting it up (slow CPU?). Remote control looks cheap and fairly ugly.
