    Surprisingly good

posted by Alinsoutherncal on 08/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
attachment comes off easy and works great as a simple to use zoomable flashlight. Plus the attachment is good for in a tent kind of thing. Brighter than I expected....have to wonder if 60 lumen is just with the diffuser on as it seems competitive with my ot...
    Cons:
Be nice to know if a 3 volt lithium AA size battery would burn it out or work great and brighter? Hate to risk burning it out w...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
most discrete of similar phones I could find at the time. silicone like cable does not knot up like some other types good sound quality microphone is quite good to people at other end of phone gold connectors are more reliable than chrome in my experience
    Cons:
maybe, maybe other ones may have better sound quality I have not tried enough to know be nice if were louder and clearer... but...

    Easy to touch switch.

posted by Alinsoutherncal on 09/23/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Maybe the simplest of all the Zoomable AA's. Smooth feel, good for pocket if it does not turn on accidently. easy to touch switch, very good click feel. no frills but solid.
    Cons:
may be too simple for some. only one mode; on or off. may not support 14500 batteries

Great light, twist zoom is unique

posted by Alinsoutherncal on 09/23/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Twist to zoom is tight and should hold zoom level in pocket. allows 14500 battery but AA works well. tight solid quality feel. nice high tech looking High, low, and strobe modes.
    Cons:
Holds zoom but slower and harder to operate zoom compared to slide models. some may prefer this though; I do not. Some may wa...

    competitive with similar others here

posted by Alinsoutherncal on 09/23/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Liked the harder to get at switch so it does not go on accidently as similar lights here may. Chrome ring may help with finding it in the dark compared to other black lights. Works about as well as other similar Zoom AA lights I own.
    Cons:
Does not say you can use a 14500 battery.

great for the price and size

posted by Alinsoutherncal on 09/23/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
When zoomed to the chip pattern it will be hard to find another light that can light that far away area as bright at this price range. (2011) About as compact as you can get for this battery size. Quick zooming mechanism. High, Low, and strobe do what yo...
    Cons:
Switch on one of the two I bought was bad, but they replaced the whole light free. Have not had problems with any of my other ...

Great but I like Zoomable better

    posted by Alinsoutherncal on 09/23/2011

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Lots of lumens for low price due to newer @ 2011 technology. 5 modes useful. The 3rd low power mode is good for saving your battery over a weekend of reading in your tent. The strobe can draw attention right away and the sos may come in handy if stranded...
    Cons:
If you prefer flood to throw; zoomable lights, but with this power etc. they are available and should be here too; soon I expec...
