Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Extremely well made, gives a serious light output even on a CR2 battery, good runtime on AA's, with a still very bright output. It can boot even on a single AA. Pretty good driver! Drains 1.1A on a CR2 (which I would estimate as a ~4C Discharge, a bit much ...
    Cons:
Two flashlights, two bins. Got two different emitters. On one flashlight, one o-ring destroyed in nearly no time. I suppose it ...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Good Runtime on AAA rechargeables, light output is ok, not comparable with other Q5 lights rated at 250 lumen. I would estimate about 100-120 lumen for ths flashlight. Being AAA powered, its even a good thing. Current drawing is about 0.6A on fresh recharge...
    Cons:
I've got two of these, with two different bins. One was a little brighter, with a cold light. Another one was less bright, with...

    Pros:
Case is really hard to scratch, quality is high, well machined aluminium. Nice throw, pretty bright.
    Cons:
Threads are a bit too a tight fit, they make a pretty bad sound when screwed. I've had to replace the tail switch due to it's s...

    Pros:
Very well made. Capacity is near rated value, they last long in my flashlights. I think best price per power density available.
    Cons:
Maybe a bit too long. In my trustfire R2 they are pretty tight fit, a little hard to push out. they fit well sku 15561. Plastic...

    Pros:
Extremely solid body. Good output power, seems to be IR filtered. Collimation looks pretty good too. Beam is really visible, you just have to lower the lights in you room a bit to see it, if its night you will clearly see it even if there's a strong light i...
    Cons:
The screw that takes together the two parts of the laser is made not that well, its sounds bad every time you turn it.

Good driver, maybe too many modes.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Really compact driver, good also if you want to get some cheap 7135 ics.
    Cons:
Output current is not as rated. Maximum current is about 650mA, soldering looks cheap. No information about the modes, looking ...

    Very good flashlight.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very good flashlight, incredibly bright, well throwing. Mine came with a XR-E Q5 led instead of an XP-E P2, but that's not a big problem, it's still pretty too much britht. The body looks well made, threads are good, o-rings are tight fit so you'll never ge...
    Cons:
Thermal contact between led/reflector assembly and the light could be improved. The light feels warm to touch after about ten m...

    Pros:
Good price, they look pretty solid, good weigth. Charged to 4.18V, these last long in my WF-502B cree flashlight. Capacity should be something between 2000 and 2400mAh.
    Cons:
They're unprotected, but I bought these to be sure they'll enter in my flashlight, so there is no big problem.

Pretty good host for any laser diode.

posted by Andrea87 on 01/29/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Good price, small size, easy to tear apart. It's a perfect host for any 5mm laser diode, you can pick up any PHR, long open can red, or any diode you want, rip off the old 5mW diode and put your one there. focusing is good, acrilic lenses doesn't look to be...
    Cons:
is there any cons? a perfect host for 4 bucks? Maybe the laser diode is a bit hard to tear apart, but who cares... if I ever br...

    Pros:
Good thermal conductivity, excellent glue. There's as much as you would need in YEARS of use. I've used to attack leds, resistors, mosfets to small heatsinks with really good effects, the glue keeps the components attached to the sinks very well and at the ...
    Cons:
As any silicone based glue, it's not a good idea to let this get in contact with your fingers. A plastic container instead of a...
