    Good product - I'm happy

posted by BanglaBob on 09/27/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Good product. It works well as a mini-tripod and also OK as a pistol-grip, when using your camera while shooting videos. The mounting plate that fixes to the camera bottom is ratcheted and can be set at a few angles. I like that. Easy to pack away in my cam...
    Cons:
Could have been made a little sturdier. A little light-weight, but at this price it's not a big minus.

    Good Buy !

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Quite well-made. I like the colour and camouflage pattern. Fits some of my smaller flashlights and is up to the task.
    Cons:
It is billed as a "large" holster when in fact it is rather small-ish. It won't fit any of the larger single-18650 fl...

    Does the Job

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Ok. First the good news. Price, price and price. I've got 3 of these, two of which are mounted on my (bike's) handlebars. This mount holds my P7 and R2 torches securely. Although they are of a different diameter this mount holds them equally well. I've been...
    Cons:
I had to fit a metal washer on either end of the bolt, otherwise when tightening the nut it would eat into the rubber. A simple...

    Battery Case

posted by BanglaBob on 05/11/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good buy. Necessary if you have several 18650 batteries - otherwise they'd be rattling around in your pocket/bag/whatever. I like the orange colour, really nice. It would have been nice to get the blue as well (see below). Hopefully in the next batch I'll ...
    Cons:
None really. I got both of them (2 pack) in orange. I would have liked to have them in different colours. This is so I could us...

    Okay-ish Light

posted by BanglaBob on 05/10/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Quite well built, with a chunky solid feel.. Reasonably bright. This torch is much larger than I expected. I suppose it has to be in order to use 3 different kinds of batteries. The zooming action is simple enough, just slide back and forth to go from flood...
    Cons:
Price, I guess. For the price ($17+) I expected it to be brighter than my C30, which it isn't really. The C30 has a slightly wi...

    One of My Favourites

posted by BanglaBob on 04/25/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This torch is kind of like a jack-of-all-trades. The zooming function lets you use it to light up a fairly wide area (at close distance), or reach out into the darknesss out there. I have a SSC-P7 flooder for biking, and and assortment of other torches for ...
    Cons:
Are you kidding? At this price I don't think there are any worth mentioning. Maybe DX could offer it in other colours (why almo...

    Well worth it

posted by BanglaBob on 04/16/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This torchlight is BRIGHT. Rather more of a thrower than a flooder, if that's what you're looking for. BOTH protected/unprotected 18650's fit well - one of my SSC-P7 torches doesn't take the protected TRUSTFIRE (sku 5790) without some force being applied. ...
    Cons:
Not as solidly built as my other torches, but at this price point it's not really an issue. I had to lubricate the threads whic...

    Pretty darn good

posted by BanglaBob on 04/08/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I got this about 2-3 weeks ago in the last week of March. I must say it's REALLY bright - in fact nearly as bright as my SSC-P7 torch which costs $15 more and is rated at 900 lumens (yeah, sure). The colour of the light is pleasantly neutral (my P7 is a qui...
    Cons:
As expected from reading the reviews, I found that the O ring and glass doesn't quite fit so well. I measured the glass as 27m...
