    It works great!

posted by Belcat2 on 11/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Never need a battery! - Works under any lighting conditions I tested (may be battery backed up) - Put it in boiling water, and it registered 99.6C (probably would read 100C if I had waited longer). - I put it in the freezer, left it overnight, and the ...
    Cons:
    - If you break the solar panel, it probably won't work anymore, depending on the type of break. But the LCD can also break, so...

Works well in a Dodge Caravan

posted by Belcat2 on 07/30/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
    - The big festoon plug fits well in the overhead light plug (44x10.5mm model 578 ) - Very bright - Dimms like the original halogens - Brighter than the original halogen - Cool to the touch - Less power than the halogen version
    Cons:
    - Could be as warm as the halogens, I suppose. But they are closer to a white light than the halogens.

    Big, and works well

posted by Belcat2 on 07/14/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - It's big. You can read it across the room. Or wall mount it and read it across the room. - It has date, day of the week, time, weather (seems ok accurate, off sometimes). - It has the current, min, max temperatures and humidity. - It has an alarm - didn...
    Cons:
    - It's big! You can't put it under your monitor. - Manual is Chinese bad-translation junk, but you should be able to figure it...

Really nice lens for a cheap price!

posted by Belcat2 on 06/10/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
These lens are great to modify what your camera can see. I put the 2.8mm on SKU 17779 to make it able to see the face & chest of someone at the door, instead of the just seeing a little of their chest. I also could get the 2.8mm, 3.6mm and the 6mm lens...
    Cons:
The lens do not come with IR filters. If your camera has a night-time vision, then it will automatically switch to that and it...

    This thing is bright!

posted by Belcat2 on 06/01/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I used this light strip on our outside stairs, with it's uneven steps. I was surprised how bright it was! It lit up the steps very bright, and the light was even visible 10 feet away on other structures (despite the city lights). Light is blueish-white. ...
    Cons:
The power usage, including the overhead of our 120V to 12V transformer, is 7 watts. It uses a little more power than I wanted....
