    Good deal for the price

posted by BenNL on 11/15/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Considering the brand replacement battery costs 3 times more than this one, i'd say its a good deal. Capacity is not as good as the original, but seems to be about 80% of the original battery. I get over 2 hours of usefull life out of this one, while the or...
    Cons:
Fitting it is more difficult than the original - it takes some effort and tinkering to install, but once instaled it fits solid...

    Pros:
It works right out of the box on my vista system, no need to install anything as far as i can see.
    Cons:
Performance isn't what you'd expect from a powerful adapter - in fact, the intenal adapter in my Dell M1330 does better than th...

    Nice little scale

posted by BenNL on 09/10/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
A nice little pocket scale, to me it seemed a little smaller than i expected from the pictures. See my photo with a cigarette for reference. True 0.01 gram resolution, reproducible results. I'm not able to deterime accuracy since i dont have a reference we...
    Cons:
300 gram range upper limit isn't all that much - not practical for kitchen use. Sometimes you have to press the on button a fe...

    Nice UV Emitter

posted by BenNL on 08/07/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Does what the description says. I'm not able to measure the wavelength, but seems fairly close to 400 nm. I mounted it on a star board from another power led, and retrofitted a small flashlight with it. Very useful to detect counterfeit money, bank cards,...
    Cons:
This would have been better on a star board. It requires proper cooling and there are little other ways to achieve that.

    Decent laptop bag

posted by BenNL on 08/07/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It comes as described and pictures, but without any text on it, so no typo either. The case fits my Dell XPS M1330 (13.3") laptop very well.
    Cons:
There is very little protection for the side of the laptop, the zippers are in a piece of relatively thin fabric.

Very nice, stable, laser for the price

posted by BenNL on 05/22/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This laser as a stable power output at normal temperatures, requiring to heat up time at all, and suffers from very little diming over time. Output power seems to be okay, i have no power meter here, but compared to other lasers i'd say the 30 mW rating is...
    Cons:
Quite power hungry (draws 450 mA from a rechargable CR2).

Fake, fits well but lower capacity

posted by BenNL on 03/10/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Fits very well into the phone - the dimensions are exactly the same (see photos too). Same colors as the original, but clearly not from nokia. Installs and charges wihout a problem.
    Cons:
Capacity seems lower than even a 2 year old real nokia bl-5c, and doesnt improve (much) with a couple of charges. For the pri...

    Strong little magnets

posted by BenNL on 03/05/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
These are true neodymium magnets, probably not of the highest grade, but still amazingly strong for their size. One of these easily holds up a metal hammer that weighs about a kilogram, just to give you an idea. Stick a couple to a piece of paper, hang in...
    Cons:
Package contained only 18 magnets, not 20 as specified.

    Fine hub

posted by BenNL on 01/15/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Works very well, allows me to connect all my peripherals to my laptop at once. Build quality is very sturdy. Package contains the hub, it's power supply adapter and a USB A to B cable (used as 'uplink').
    Cons:
It's not the cheapest out there.

Excellent device, but wait for 8 GB

    posted by BenNL on 01/05/2008

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The Meizu M6 is one of the top players on the market. I've owned it for over half a year and it's been excellent. Display is bright and well readable, sound quality is very good, and even the included headphones are worthwhile. Connects easily to any...
    Cons:
Video has to be converted to and odd format, the software is included. It's limited to ca 20 fps, and encoded sideways. It does...
