Involvement:Novice (still getting used to it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
extremely bright. but the beam is four shaped. To fill the requirements of 500 characters I should tell you some redundant information. It illuminates well but... see next

    Great laser for pointing stars

posted by Bernilupi on 01/29/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Novice (still getting used to it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It has a very tight beam (of course it's a laser). You can point stars and teach their names. It's the most important function. A thin line seems to get out from the laser and go directly to the sky. It is amazing how it seems to reach the stars.
    Cons:
The thread is not that good. It make a bad noise when you prepare it. takes a bit to warm up to operating temperature but not m...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
As every Cree Q5 flashlight, it has a very bright beam, but not as bright as TR-801 that uses 18650 batteries.
    Cons:
It has the same shape than its bigger brother TR-801 which I prefer. And it doesnt work with 1,5 volt batteries. Its constructi...

    The ideal size!!

Involvement:Novice (still getting used to it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Its the most common size of battery you can find everywhere. Just be sure your device accept this voltage. Fit perfectly in most AA batteries flashlights.
    Cons:
The positive pole sometimes dont make contact. Plastic around the battery breaks easily.
