Can't tell it from the real thing

posted by BobGo on 12/20/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Works great with my ipad and ipad2 - garageband, amplitube, ishred etc . it does what it's supposed to do, exactly like IK's does, and does it for a low price.
    Cons:
Same cons as the original product: - the cord between the unit and the plug could be longer - it'd be nice to have 1/4" ...

    works well

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I got this to use with a Wouxun KG-UV2D, and it works perfectly. You shouldn't have any issues getting this to work with a Kenwood-type radio. The cord feels like a good quality cord, and the sound is very acceptable. The ear clip thing rotates, so you can ...
    Cons:
at this price? Its hard to come up with something bad about this. If I lost or broke it, I'd order another.

    Pros:
Hard to say anything different than what's already been said - but If you've got a radio this will work with, get that antenna away from your head and start using this! Works like it should, it's very light, so if you clip it to yourself your shirt won't c...
    Cons:
as others have noted, the coiled cable is a bit stiff - but i think over time that will solve itself.. I find the PTT button a ...

    great accessory

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I love this thing. It was able to hold my Canon XS (1000D) with battery grip and external flash in a sideways position from a tree branch.. It's light, and very easy to bend/adjust into something useful. This one will follow me when a real tripod is too mu...
    Cons:
Hard to find anything wrong at this price..Hmm.. maybe a little carrying case would have been nice?

    Pros:
It works. Doesn't look too bad, but I also had the issue where the drive seemed to be 0.05mm to big or something... getting the bottom back on the case was a challenge. Once back together though, It is a pretty good looking box, and it does what it's supp...
    Cons:
The inclusion of a screwdriver with a device that has no screws may make you wonder if you're going insane - don't worry, think...

    great value

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I'm quite happy I ordered two of these for some upcoming trips. DOESN´T CONVERT THE VOLTAGE - but I knew that going in, it adapts the physical connection to match what you need.
    Cons:
At this price, I don't see any.. Some may find it big, but it's light and easy to stuff into luggage..

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Mine has the S0nY logo on the front, and it sure looks exactly like the ECM-DS70P.. It is in fact a dual condenser mic, and works VERY well with my M-audio microtrack (which supplies the voltage needed for condenser microphones) Maybe I got lucky, but min...

    Pros:
Works like a charm - and it comes in a little case too - perfect to toss in the toolbox
    Cons:
At this price? None, really... But it would be cool if it had a mode where all the lights stayed on instead of scanning... you'...

    Oh come on

posted by BobGo on 06/08/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is a stubby little thing, maybe 2-3cm deep - but it's the same size as the "Official" Canon hood, and does the exact same job for a lot less money offers a bit of protection, and gives you something to grab to do the manual focus on the 18-55...
    Cons:
    - none really

    a good tube

posted by BobGo on 06/07/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I didn't know the first thing about macro photography, which is what made this attractive. It's solid metal, and the rings assemble/disassemble easy enough to change the length of the tube without a problem. I played with this using the kit 18-55mm lens tha...
    Cons:
    - no electrical connection, so you're on your own for focus etc - but I really didn't find it to be much of an issue
