Good transparency, great sliding for the stylus

posted by Constantinus on 10/29/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Works great. I bought it a while ago, but I decided just now that the original screen protector has peeled off too much and needs to be changed. Maybe I grew accustomed to the peeling-off old protector, but this new one seems more transparent and its surfac...
    Cons:
I agree with the other reviewers about the camera hole being not a hole, but a nice looking cutout - but still a cutout. Furthe...

Bright, but magnet has to be glued back

posted by Constantinus on 10/23/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Bright lamp. I bought it for the garage (there is no mains line there). If the magnet doesn't give the right positioning for the lamp, there is a large hook on the back. If you hang the lamp by the hook, the beam will be at a nice ~45 degree downward.
    Cons:
The beam is more directional than I like, but there is enough side light as well. The magnet on the base came off while the lam...

Bought two more for my colleagues

posted by Constantinus on 10/23/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good sleeve. It won't protect your notebook from falls or stabbing, I don't think it was designed to. However, if you carry your laptop in your bag, along with other, potentially "abrasive" stuff, as I do, it will help.
    Cons:
Does not offer "substantial" protection for the laptop, since it is padded, but thinly. I haven't tried if it is wate...

Not extremely useful, but worth it

posted by Constantinus on 10/23/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Works, actually well. It also feels good, almost like a Canon accessory would.
    Cons:
As others said, not all buttons work for all cameras, e.g. for my Canon 350D. I haven't tried it at an angle yet, but I wouldn'...

    Cheap alternative

posted by Constantinus on 10/23/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Good ring. Way cheaper than the original Canon one. It is made of metal and the screw is solid - seems durable. The white paint on the thing looks resistant, as well, although it doesn't feel as nice as the original Canon white paint.
    Cons:
The black lining inside the ring leaves lint and will eventually come off. However, I plan to glue a thin strip of textile or r...

    Working great, good price

posted by Constantinus on 12/17/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Relatively cheap and working well. Has Bluetooth connection, so not only you get an OBD interface, but it is also wireless. Comes with Desktop and PDA software on a mini CD. Build quality seems good, the plastic housing is strong. It works with my European ...
    Cons:
The PDA software cannot connect to it, but maybe it's my fault. The device is on the big side, but it does fit my car. Check th...

    Cute and alive

posted by Constantinus on 12/17/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
They come in pairs and are cute. The ones are received have blue and red gel, respectively. The key attachment part is actually a thin, colored string, so I think these are meant as mobile phone fobs, instead of keychains. No problem for me, as I gave one a...
    Cons:
The bottle seems to be glass, so be careful, if you want to use them as actual keychains, maybe they'll break. Other than that,...

Great toys, but useful as well

posted by Constantinus on 11/27/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The price is great. They are great for play, but also very useful, you just have to find new ways to use them, since they are unusually strong and can do what other magnets can't. See the customer photos for some ideas.
    Cons:
They are small. Of course, the size is specified right in the product's name, but still, they are smaller than I expected. For ...

    Reasonably priced, bright

posted by Constantinus on 11/27/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Price is ok, probably cheaper than comparable flashlight elsewhere. Brightness is great, lights up well a place over 30m away. Accepts AAA batteries, not expensive - and hard to find - specialty ones. Comes with a durable, woven nylon holster, which covers ...
    Cons:
The sealant rubber rings are thin and seem flimsy. It has only two modes: on or off. Other than that, this flashlight has been ...

    Great case

posted by Constantinus on 11/27/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is a great case. DX calls it a bag, but in my opinion, it's just a soft sleeve. But, however they call it, it's functional and looks good. The material is soft and has an interesting weaving, probably for cushioning possible falls. The zippers have an ...
    Cons:
I think it was made for the Macbook, because my Thinkpad x300 is too thin for it, but not as much as to make it unusable. Maybe...
