    Crocodile clips

posted by Ddrl46 on 01/01/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
These crocodile clips came in a plastic bag, 10 pairs as advertised. The rubber sleeves on them are quite flexible. They are also quite easy to solder to, just remember to put the sleeve on your wire or you will have to desolder them again!
    Cons:
The jaws do not always align which causes problems when opening them again.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The power supply comes in a cardboard box, there was some blue plastic over some of the metal parts. The terminal block is of pretty good quality and the input to the power supply consists of a fuse, X2 mains rated capacitor, common mode choke and a proper ...
    Cons:
Some of the holes in the case were too big for the screws, which fell out.

    Pros:
This switching power supply is quite solidly built and reasonably well designed. The input consists of a 2A fuse, common mode choke and 4 separate diodes used as a bridge rectifier. The transformer looks well wound. The noise is quite average at 40mV. The s...

The switching transistor isn't screwed down to the case even though there is a hole to do so, this can however easily be taken ...

Good manual ranging multimeter for the price

posted by Ddrl46 on 01/01/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The UNI-T UT33D is quite a solid, small multimeter. It feels better built than you'd expect for the price. One of the nicer features of this multimeter is that it has a backlight and a 50 Hz (fixed) square wave output which could be useful for testing certa...
    Cons:
One of the annoying things with this multimeter is that the common terminal is on the right side instead of the V/ohms jack. Th...

    Pros:
This keyboard is very easy to use on any iOS or Android devices and if you have a Bluetooth adapter (which you can get for almost nothing on DX) you can also use it on your computer. On iOS most of the windows buttons dont do anything but you can still chan...

    Good cheap dock

posted by Ddrl46 on 07/20/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
A great dock for a low price, I've used this dock for my iPod Touch 3G and it works just fine. You have to keep in mind that you have to take off your case or it won't make a good connection.
    Cons:
The rubberized bottom of this dock can come off quit easily and can be uneven. This dock is also very light and the rubber does...

    Pros:
This adapter is very easy to use, just plug in your micro-sd card and you are ready to go. I've had no problems using this adapter on my PSP (1000). It also came in a nice transparent plastic case.
    Cons:
No cons so far, it works flawlessly.
