    Best value heatshrink!

posted by DrAwesome90 on 09/05/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - It's darn cheap! Most electronics suppliers would charge for one meter of one size as you pay here for 15 meters! - reasonably useful range of sizes in this multipack, (though i generally have trouble finding use for 0.8mm heatshrink...)
    Cons:
None what-so-ever! You get what you pay for, and then some!!

    Cons:
    - Absolutely no cons at this price !

    Get a pair!

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - It's under $15... whats not to like?? - Seem to be of reasonable build quality - It is actually polarized, not 'faux pretty sticker polarized'
    Cons:
    - The center joint looks like it might become a weak point with continued use

    Great bang for buck

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - 5mW, very decent range (>200m) - Very well built - Fairly little divergence when focused correctly up 'til about 100m where the divergence gets most noticeable - Is a complete module, no need to add driver
    Cons:
    None that I have found!

    Excellent value for money

posted by DrAwesome90 on 07/15/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - 1 meter of 5 different sizes . - Where I live, 1 meter of 10mm heatshrink . costs more than all 5 of these... - Pretty decent shrink factor. Another user said it shrinks to around 2\3 the original diameter, I think that is about right ...
    Cons:
None. It's heatshrink... you put it over something, you heat it, it shrinks.

    Good replacement for filament bulbs

posted by DrAwesome90 on 07/15/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - around 6000k white light - decent brightness - has an inbuilt diode bridge (so it can be installed either way around) - costs only about a quarter as much as in retail stores - FAR longer lifespan than standard filament globes (will probably outlast the c...
