Overall, a great battery pack but not 8000mAh

posted by EdFromOhio on 02/03/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
High capacity, works with many of the bike lights sold here, comes with a nylon pouch. Much higher capacity than most 18650 packs.
    Cons:
Actual capacity is not 8000mAh as listed.

A nice light, but with some flaws

posted by EdFromOhio on 01/20/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very nice looking light other than a scuff mark in my bezel. Easy to use electronic switch as opposed to the more common mechanical tail switch. Compact design.
    Cons:
Not as bright as other 5 x XM-L lights I have, probably because this says it's driven at 2300mA instead of the more common 2800...

This is an awesome little thrower

posted by EdFromOhio on 01/17/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Somewhat compact design, excellent fit & finish. Lots of light for such a small light.
    Cons:
A little too big to toss in your pants pocket. Maybe a coat pocket, though.

    528mAh actual

posted by EdFromOhio on 01/17/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Nice packaging, decent capacity, good price.
    Cons:
Not close to even the "actual" capacity listed in the advertising, let alone the manufacturer's claim of 900mAh.

    A very bright, tiny light

posted by EdFromOhio on 01/17/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very, very small. Very bright for the size. Uses AAA batteries which are very common in the US. Simple 1-mode for non-flashaholics.
    Cons:
Machining is a bit rough, but it's functional.

    Slightly bulky but works good

posted by EdFromOhio on 09/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Fits in a small pocket, on a belt or even in a pocket. I've held it in my hand while walking and it counted my steps. Reliable so far. 4 out of 4 working with no problems, although I did order a spare because the price was decent.
    Cons:
A little bulky. Can't pick the color you want. Not waterproof. Takes 7-10 days for these to leave the warehouse. Why?

An awesome bicycling light, like a car headlight!

posted by EdFromOhio on 09/16/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Small and relatively lightweight. Excellent price compared to the other bike lights of similar design. Includes everything needed to start using it. Charge lasts for over 3 hours on high (don't know exactly how much over 3 hours as I haven't run out of b...
    Cons:
Not waterproof, although it's not much effort to make it more watertight (see other thoughts.) O-rings to hold the light to th...

    Very nice, well built helicopter

    posted by EdFromOhio on 08/29/2011

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Well built and easy to fly. We had an AirHog before this one, and once a blade on it broke, we found out that they can't be replaced. So we found this one with interchangeable blades. Within about 2 minutes, I had enough control over it to fly it through...
    Cons:
Not very long runtimes, but that's to be expected in a device of this size. Listing said it comes with replaceable blades, but...

Works great, fast start. High power consumption.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Locks onto a GPS signal fast - like within 15 seconds. Compact design. Can store enough points to track this for days. Software works well and shows your route quickly.
    Cons:
Requires a lot of juice for long-term tracking. I had this connected to a 4*AA Soshine USB battery pack (sold here) with very ...

WICKED bright - even brighter than the P7-C

posted by EdFromOhio on 04/06/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This thing is BRIGHT. I mean blinding. It seems at least as bright as my car's headlight. Even with your eyes closed, you can still see this light shining through your eyelids. High mode is first when you turn it on, so you don't have to cycle through m...
    Cons:
I hate having so many modes and wish there were some way to customize these to only have the modes you want.
