    Great value lens hood

posted by Eldorf on 05/02/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It helps cut down on unwanted glare coming into your lens, also provides a buffer in case you hit the front of the glass against something so you don't have to worry about possible damage to the front element.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
A great value for a lens hood. Same size as the official Canon EW-60C. Attaches exact same method via a bayonet mount to the lens. Cost is about $25 less then that of the Canon version.

    Pros:
Same size as the Canon ES-62 (with the hood adapter 62). One piece unlike the Canon version which is the hood and an adapter to mount the hood to the Canon EF 50mm 1.8 II. Works exactly like the Canon version. Cheaper then the Canon version by about $20 or ...
    Cons:
As previously mentioned due to the design if you want to use any filters with the hood you need to have the filter on the lens ...

    Inexpensive, useful leveler

posted by Eldorf on 04/07/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Inexpensive level, price for a similar level from a camera shop is easily $20+ more then this level. The level does its job, making sure the camera is level on the tripod for landscape photography. Very useful when doing panoramic shots.
    Cons:
Finish could be a little more refined, but for the price, the finish isnt a big detractor. Lose fit in the hot shoe. Had to tak...
