Charge two devices without taking up the outlet

posted by Endurance on 04/20/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
How many of you have resorted to putting a powerstrip in your kitchen so you can charge more than one electronic device at a time? Seriously, I now have a piece of counter space back that used to be a powerstrip so I could charge my phone and ipod at the s...

So much more useful than you'd expect

posted by Endurance on 04/20/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Works great. Having two jacks will change your life! Now it's easy to charge your phone and your i-Pod at the same time or charge your phone while running your GPS. Does what it says and doesn't give you the error message that a lot of non-Apple charger...
    Cons:
    I haven't found one yet.

    Overall a solid headlamp

posted by Endurance on 04/20/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The light is brighter than pretty much every headlamp I own (and I have a lot of headlamps). With the ability to focus the beam, it's usefulness extends dozens of yards beyond any other light I own. The switch seems solid, it has an indicator light that f...
    Cons:
I wish there was a way to turn off the battery indicator light. The battery box seems a little cheap, but has held up so far q...

Great value for a nice little monocular

posted by Endurance on 12/25/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Lightweight, small, reliable, easy to carry and always have with you. Works well in most typical lighting conditions.
    Cons:
Small size can be a disadvantage, too, as it's challenging to handle with winter gloves on and easily gets lost in your bag or ...

    Pretty disappointing

posted by Endurance on 03/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It will find some stuff, but only if you pretty much run your antenna right across it (touching it or within an inch).
    Cons:
At full sensitivity I have to get within 1-2" before it picks up the wifi signal from my computer, i-pod touch, or home wifi tr...

good for finding your keys, but not very bright

posted by Endurance on 03/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Works without wiring because it uses 4 AAA batteries. Relatively inexpensive. Motion detector greatly increases utility. OK for lighting up individual steps at night, but not much more.
    Cons:
I was expecting a lot more light. Given all the super-powerful LED flashlights and such that DX sells, I guess I expected some...

Good light for the right application

posted by Endurance on 03/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I've had the light in my hallway between the bedroom and the bathroom for four months now and I really can't recall how I lived without it. Not so bright it hurts your eyes in the middle of the night, but bright enough to see where you're going (probably e...
    Cons:
Still pretty expensive compared to an incandescent bulbs and even CFLs.

Easy to install, functional, but not the brightest

posted by Endurance on 12/27/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Easily installs with either double sided tape or screw-mount. Motion detector works well. Good adjustability for brightness and level of light activation. Can be set for 20s, 60s, 90s or always on at the flick of a switch. A great light to install next ...
    Cons:
Not very bright. While it's adequate to avoid tripping over hazards in my garage for about an 7-8' radius or to find my keys t...

    Solid value, nice light output

posted by Endurance on 11/10/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very nice spot in the center with excellent spill that's superior to the Cree P4-WB 3-Mode LED Headlamp. Definitely Q5 brightness, nice switch, reasonably comfortable. Nice and light, barely notice it's there compared to a AA lamp.
    Cons:
Battery compartment opens a bit too easy and I've already used a short piece of duct tape to keep it from opening accidently wh...

    Versitility, performance and value

posted by Endurance on 10/23/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The same size body as any AA flashlight almost all open-top AA flashlight holsters will fit it. Puts out an extraordinary amount of light with a nice well balanced beam. Great end cap click switch with a very positive feel to it. On/off without the mediu...
    Cons:
Clicky switch does not have a partially on/momentary capability like Maglights and others do. It's either on or off. This may...
