    Good Value

posted by GaryD on 07/22/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It heats quickly (as you would expect for a 60W station). It has a nice range of temperatures. I really like the digital readout.
    Cons:
It’s definitely 220V only, with a North American, 3-prong plug. Go figure! I rated it as a 3 for ease of use because of the n...

    Great double-A light!

posted by GaryD on 01/20/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Great light. Very bright for a 2xAA. Costs little more than an incan M*g!
    Cons:
Single mode -- a low setting would be nice.

    Looks Great - Poor quality

posted by GaryD on 01/01/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Looks great. Lots of colour. I love the different modes.
    Cons:
Extremely thin (fragile) wires. A bead of hot-melt glue inside the controller is supposed to keep them from breaking off. The ...

    No use to me

posted by GaryD on 12/22/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Cheap. Successfully controls the volume on my Win2k computer without drivers.
    Cons:
Cyberlink installs under XP only. McAfee claims some of the software is full of AdWare.

    Not quite so useful

posted by GaryD on 11/02/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Quality is adequate for the rated 6A (but not great). Fits into the little groves on ther sides of the European jacks, which adds a little stability.
    Cons:
It will not accept a polarized plug, making it useless for 90% of North American 2-prong appliences.

    Way Kewl!

posted by GaryD on 09/24/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The huge, scrolling text is really slick! The picture doesn't do this thing justice. Easily readable for people getting on in years. It has a stopwatch and three different alarms.
    Cons:
Very light weight. Cheap-looking strap. Plastic "crystal". Can take a little while for the time to scroll around.

    Excellent Deal

posted by GaryD on 09/18/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Extremely solid knife. Smooth, easy one-handed operation.
    Cons:
Single position clip (I prefer them on the other end). The unsharpened portion of the blade near the pivot, which protects you...

    Good enough

posted by GaryD on 08/13/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Open circuit voltage as advertised. They don't look like amorphous cells, so they could be very good quality.
    Cons:
They are obviously used (bits of wire soldered on, etc). Positive connection was labled "-" and negative connection ...

    Great Light

posted by GaryD on 05/26/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Bright. Very bright. Lots of flood. I like having a low setting, since even that is bright. It's the perfect size for a light that doesn't live in your pocket.
    Cons:
Using two CR123's is a bit of a pain, I'll probably mod it to take a single 17670. The low - off - high - off switch pattern me...

    Bright!

posted by GaryD on 05/26/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This thing is far brighter than anything I've ever used to illuminate a tent. It's bright enough with only 12 LEDs on. And it illuminates a large area fairly evenly.
    Cons:
The build quality is poor. It was difficult to open, one of the locking tabs broke off and the finish is a little ugly.
