    Nice Soldering Paste

posted by GordonGecco on 04/30/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
20g of soldering paste to an unbeatable price. Good consistency that "tacks" the components to the PCB. Nice plastic container with screw on lid.
    Cons:
No information about paste composition or the properties of the flux.

    Easy to use flux

posted by GordonGecco on 04/30/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Easy to use flux in paste/grease form. Ships with documentation about the flux content. Doesn’t dry out. Nice and compact metal can.
    Cons:
The active agent is Zinc Chloride so this flux isn’t suitable for PCB soldering.

    Good desoldering wick

posted by GordonGecco on 04/30/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Low cost wick that does the job. Saturated with no-clean RMA flux.
    Cons:
There are better brands available (but they also cost more).

    Excellent product

posted by GordonGecco on 04/30/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very high quality, fully comparable to my expensive Bernstein tweezes (+$30) that I use professionally. These WeiTus tweezers are apparently produced by Regine in Switzerland that are known for making high quality precision tools. The tweezers are also made...
    Cons:
Nothing, the build quality, precision and price of these tweezers leave nothing to be desired.

    Great RF Trimmer Tool

posted by GordonGecco on 04/30/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
High quality ceramic trimmer tool to a low price. Much better and sturdier than plastic trimmer tools.
    Cons:
The length of the tool-shaft is a bit short for people with large hands (like me).
