Bright but not quite as advertised

posted by HenryJ on 10/07/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    Very bright! Good mount. Solid!
    Cons:
Don't know why they advertise it as "45 + 20 degree". There isn't much light spill past 20 degrees. Consider it a s...

A must have for any Arduino user

posted by HenryJ on 10/25/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
An inexpensive item for any Arduino user. Very good quality comparable to any other Arduino prototyping shield out there.
    Cons:
Shipping time. Packaging should be better than it is. The pins are easily and often bent in shipping. This product should be ...

    Handy gadget for the experimenter

posted by HenryJ on 10/01/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Inexpensive. Handy for the experimenter as it plugs into a breadboard easily (not that a three pin device isn't easy to plug into a breadboard but having the device mounted to the pcb helps protect it and make it less vulnerable to handling damage.
    Cons:
The device is an LM35D which has a max and min temperature rating of 0C to 100C. It would be nice if the device were an LM35 -...

    Works for me

posted by HenryJ on 10/01/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It works as it should. All the connectors are properly aligned. Less expensive than other suppliers for a product that I would judge as being comparable.
    Cons:
None that I have found. Packaging does not give much protection during shipping. Product could be easily damaged in shipping, ...

    Good but be careful

posted by HenryJ on 10/01/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very inexpensive for what you get. Drives DC motors and Bi-polar stepper motors (4 wire).
    Cons:
No documentation. None. Install the 5V jumper while 5V connected to Arduino and your Arduino is fried. Mine fried. Slotted sc...
