Look great but lasted less than a week

posted by Ireland on 02/11/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Look great and appear to be solid and well made. I recommended these leads in a previous review and have written this review so as not to mislead potential customers
    Cons:
The wire is very very thin and the apparently robust leads are 90% plastic. They fell apart after less than a week of use as th...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This laser is a nice well built unit. The price has actually fallen since I bought it. I have never been able to burn anything with it despite it's claims. What it will do is shine a beam at least a mile and I fount it very useful for aiming an antenna, I ...
    Cons:
Beam focus was very loose and I needed to tighten the screw thread.

The only advantage of this meter is a backlight

posted by Ireland on 07/27/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a basic multimeter but has the very handy addition of a backlit display , very useful in poor light, or trying to find a power problem in torchlight.Good value for the money but there are better meters on DE for the same price unless you particularl...
    Cons:
Meter is smaller than standard hence a little more fiddly to use than the larger meters. Build quality of the leads is poor but...

Good Quality at a great price

posted by Ireland on 07/27/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a good quality multimeter at an entry level price,it does everything it is supposed to do and it is unlikely you will find a meter of similar quality for a lower price.Display is slightly larger than usual and are very clear and easy to read.
    Cons:
Instructions only in Chinese - only a problem for someone who has never before used a multimeter.Power consumption is above ave...

    Good Quality Great Value

posted by Ireland on 07/27/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This Clampmeter measurers DC Current as well as AC and is ideal for measuring charging current on motor vehicles in seconds. Just clip over the main battery cable .take a reading and that's it.This exact item is available at many High Street shops for twice...
    Cons:
None that I can think of , if the clamp space was a little smaller it would be more accurate as the wire must ideally be in the...

Very good value , jack connector a little loose

posted by Ireland on 05/22/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Quality surprisingly good for the price. They look and feel quite solid. Cable size is adequate. No sign of any distortion and RCA connectors were a good fit.
    Cons:
3.5 mm Jack connector quite loose on one of the 2 units that I bought. Required squeezing with a pliers to work in stereo.
