Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It really has current regulation. Current draw is same 53-56 mA at 13.5 V and at 23 V input voltage. Maximum current for used emitters is 60 mA, so unlike most LED lamps that one is slightly underdriven, it will not overheat and burn out. Warm white LEDs ar...
    Cons:
I bought 4 packs. 3 of them were same as stated, but the last one was slightly different and has cool white emitters, not warm ...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Bright and tight-focused. Has a clip, very convenient to carry in a pocket, bezel-down position. Sturdy construction thought very lightweight. Knurling is not aggressive, just enough for good grip. Two useful modes, one useless. Hi is VERY bright, and L...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Five different sizes, three-meters each. Very cheap, it will cost several times more locally. Thin and flexible, 125 C shrink temperature. Wall thickness is 0.08 mm for 0.8 size and 0.27 for 4.5 mm size unshrinked.
    Cons:
Very gentle and susceptible to high temperatures - it melts if heated too fast with butane torch or if you touch it with solder...

    Good Luxeon clone

posted by JohnJackGit on 12/13/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It is a real warm tint emitter in luxeon form-factor. Base is electrically insulated from diode so it can be soldered directly to heatsink, used in serial connections without special measures and so on. Is bright - emits ~50 lumens at 250 mA current. Dom...
    Cons:
Weak legs - dropped led from table and plus broke off.
