    Poor mic quality, too quiet

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's cheap, and it works. It was really easy to set up, just follow the instructions that come with it.
    Cons:
Even on full volume, it's way too quiet. Unless you have really good hearing, you won't be able to use this anywhere with backg...

Works, but the messages are kinda dumb

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's easy to use. I only tested it by waving it around in the dark, but it does work. You can easily read the messages, and the blue color is nice.
    Cons:
The messages are REALLY dumb. I'm not actually going to stick this on my bike because I don't really want to tell people 'Happy...

    Nice lighter

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The finish is really nice. It has a glossy coating that makes it really smooth to the touch too. The lighter itself works really well.
    Cons:
The cotton wasn't packed very well so I had to redo it. It's not that hard, just search google really quickly and you should fi...

    Good lighter

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Nice lighter. One of the few cheap ones on DX that doesn't have engrish, which is why I bought this one instead of some of the others they have. The striker wheel seems to work pretty well. Creates a lot of sparks and lights easily. I can even do the flesh ...
    Cons:
The cotton isn't packed very well, but it's not a big deal to replace it. If you search google really quickly, you can find ins...

    Works well

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's a USB cable, and it certainly works. I used it to reprogram my phone, but it will work with any device that uses a mini B connector. It has the toroid at the end which should theoretically help keep the signal clean, but isn't really necessary (even t...
    Cons:
It's a USB cable and it works, what cons could there possible be?

It's exactly what it looks like

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's really cheap and let's me use my own normal headphones with my cheap MP3 player.
    Cons:
The part that plugs in to the mp3 player/phone is at a strange angle. It's not a really big deal, but it might be a little anno...

    Works great!

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good capacity. It's 850mAh, which is only a little less than the 910mAh battery that my phone (Motorolla W385) came with, but seems to last just as long. I'm pretty sure the stated capacity is actually accurate, but I don't have any way of actually testing ...
    Cons:
The first few charge cycles are kind of weird (i.e. going from 3 bars to low battery in less than a day) and the battery doesn'...

    Bright LEDs!

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Really bright, I hooked up 24 of them in an array and it lights a room okay (still kind of dark, but for $2.60, I can't complain)
    Cons:
No specs sheet, but running them at 3-4 volts with about 20mA forward current seems to work okay.

    Good quality, good price

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The 8 flints are good quality. I'm really not sure whether my Zippo ones are better or not, and the wick works really well.
    Cons:
It's really 1 wick, not 3 (unless you're using one of those mini oil lighters), but at least it comes as one piece (it would be...

    Good fun

posted by Jrblast on 06/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
They really do relight. Just light them, wait about 30 seconds then let the person blow them out. Also, the package comes with candle holders so you don't have to stick the wax into the cake.
    Cons:
Some of them might not relight, but that's more because of the nature of the product than how it was built (search for how thes...
