    Nice Toy

posted by JukemanQAZ on 02/11/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is actually a fairly well built gyroscope, it has very free wheeling bearings, so spins a long time. It includes a pice of string( I know, big deal) ; however, the price is worth the look on a child's face, when you have them hold the string and balanc...
    Cons:
The only con maybe, a little hard to hold while trying to wind it up.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I got the stated 2500 mah out of these batteries, what more could I expect. One review said the batteries were fat? Mine seem to be in spec. for double A's. Anyhow the fit whatever I have put them in. Seem to be the best milliamp hour battery for the price ...

    Nice batteries

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
They are good batteries, not 3000mah, but close, my charger says 2400mh, but it does shut of below .9 volts, so there may have been a little left if you want to drain them to zero. I'd say a useful life of 2000 to 2200 mah; really not bad for a double A bat...
    Cons:
    Not any cons

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very simple testing for IR remotes. you can tell a slight tone difference as you push different buttons on remote, at least you can tell it's sending out a code, normally if they send out a code, they will send out the correct one, and the remote is working.
    Cons:
Well, of course I wish it had a US plug, we are probably the biggest costumers. I have an adapter but could not find it. No pro...

    Very Bright

posted by JukemanQAZ on 01/10/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very bright flashlight, simple one battery operation, double O-rings so it should be water tight. The high mode has a good spot to flood ratio, the medium is useful for close work, bright being much too bright for your eyes. I guess the low is so you can la...
    Cons:
I'm sure the circuit is not regulated, but it seems very bright thru-out the battery life. A fully charged battery will give it...

    Bright Flashlight

posted by JukemanQAZ on 10/20/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Bright, and I mean bright. Seems to be a very pure white light, I have no way to test, but seems like pure white to my eyes. Has a very good throw, and also has some light that floods out to light up stuff not in the center. Good balance between flood and s...
    Cons:
One very small one, some of the mill work on the lens cap could have used the edges rounded off somewhat, very sharp, can cut y...

    I like it

posted by JukemanQAZ on 10/03/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very bright, has a reasonable light throw. seems to be built well and very easy to change batteries. Good batteries included a nice touch.
    Cons:
Not really a con, but would rather have it hold AA batteries, they would last longer and don't cost any more then AAA.

    surprisingly bright

posted by JukemanQAZ on 04/26/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Quite bright, has handy hook or magnet to hook on steel, will light up a small room. I'm using NiCd batteries in it and it's still bright, they seem to last a reasonable long time.
    Cons:
    Hard to fit batteries
