    Stylish light

posted by Kilili on 04/08/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Seems like a nice light, very stylish, good burn time. I inserted an AAA rechargeable 1200mah battery, and the light burned well over an hour before I turned it off.
    Cons:
Wish it could be turned off without loosening the cap.

    Nice light.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Seems fine, with good clip. Works well clipped to a pocket. There are a couple of considerations, as noted below.
    Cons:
Only as noted below, and only if you care about.

    Very happy with it

    Pros:
I purchased this to use when I travel in SE Asia. Signal is often very weak, and this thing makes a world of difference. At the moment, where my laptop could see 3 weak signals, this finds 10, ranging from strong to fair. By moving the unit, I can see o...

    Certainly looks durable

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Looks like you could drive a truck over it without problems. Be a week before I get it in deep water, but seems unlikely to leak. Only one access point, and it has 3 oversize o-rings. O-ring around press-fit [?] bevel plastic lens. Two more at top of...
    Cons:
Kind of heavy, 10.25 oz with batts, for a light that has only 3*AA. Could have been made smaller and lighter, see other though...

I am very happy with this

posted by Kilili on 04/17/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Didn't seem all that great until I found the volume control[!] This unit is absolutely beautiful, and looks like something Apple Computer would have put together [but not sell for $15]. Great sound for its small size. I'm quite pleased with what I got f...
    Cons:
As others have mentioned, the volume reset to 10%, or whatever, is a nuisance, abeit minor.

    Not for protected batteries

posted by Kilili on 04/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Lightweight, looks pretty, good price. Uses embedded power aupply, making it really compact. Great charger as long as you stay away from protected batteries. If you want to carve out some of the plastic, you can get the 14500s to fit, but be careful. Cut...
    Cons:
Protected batteries simply do not fit.

    Great Laptop Light

posted by Kilili on 03/30/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This light is a huge improvement over the "spot" style USB plug-in lights for laptops. Rather than a spot that illuminates only part of the keyboard, this one provides nice even light over the entire keyboard. I've used those in the past, never very satis...
    Cons:
It would be quite nice if the head had a small switch on it, so I could turn it off without unplugging it. That's really te on...
