    Powerful, good quality external battery

posted by Malbone on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Well built, high capacity external battery. Comes with separate input and output cables and adapters for a variety of devices including iPod. Comes in a semi-hard shell zipper case with foam compartments for the device and the cables.
    Cons:
You may find the unit rather heavy, but that's because it's one of the higher capacity external batteries that DX sells. For t...

    Good quality dock extender

posted by Malbone on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Simple operation -- extends the iPod dock connector so bulky plugs can get through a case. The plug end is nice and slim and provides plenty of clearance.
    Cons:
Can't find any. Build quality seems OK, but I haven't used it that much yet.

    Great product, many uses

posted by Malbone on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a great product. Not only does it charge your iPod or iPhone, the audio output goes through your dock connector instead of the headphone jack, resulting in much better sound. I use it to play music through my home stereo, but it would be very hand...
    Cons:
None whatsoever. Cable and plugs are as well built as any I have used.

    Compact, handy double adapter

posted by Malbone on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Each of these adapters connects a mini USB plug to either a micro USB or iPod plug. There are 2 mini USB jacks -- arrows tell you whether the jack feeds the micro USB or the iPod plug. Seems well built; nothing is loose or shaky.
    Cons:
iPod plug may be difficult to plug into a device if there is a bulky case (such as Otterbox). However, if you're careful you c...

    Convenient dual-use power source

posted by Malbone on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Lightweight, compact unit allows you to charge your portable device directly with 110V AC power, or charge the power pack and charge your device anywhere. Reasonably high power capacity. Holds a charge for a long time.
    Cons:
You need to supply your own USB cable from the power pack to your device.

    Good small card reader

posted by Malbone on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Small portable card reader. Nice design -- USB cable fits into the unit so there are no protruding cables.
    Cons:
I thought this unit would allow my older PPC Mac to read a 16GB SD card, but that's not the case. Worked just fine with my Win...

    Versatile, well built multi-bit set

posted by Malbone on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Good assortment of bits. Bits fit into holder well. Handle allows you to hold it steady while turning the bit with the same hand. Both handle and bits seem quite sturdy.
    Cons:
Plastic case is designed to raise the racks of bits when the case is opened. Mine came with the brackets detached and some of ...

    Well built, convenient

posted by Malbone on 02/11/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Performs as advertised. Not high capacity compared with some others, but seems to charge my iPhone 3GS fairly quickly. Pocket size is very convenient. When recharging from AC, red LED changes to blue to show a full charge.
    Cons:
Does not come with cables. Requires a USB to micro USB in order to charge on AC, USB to your device to charge the device. Des...

    Good, sturdy earbuds

posted by Malbone on 08/12/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The selling point for me is that the cables are thick and sturdy to minimize tangling. There are several sizes of rubber caps to insure a snug fit in the ear. Sound is quite good for the price, but if you're a true audiophile you should get the $100 brand...
    Cons:
After 6 to 9 months of normal wear and tear, the plastic assembly may come apart. Since the wires inside are very thin, it is ...

    Really bright, compact and reliable

posted by Malbone on 06/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
As compact as they come, and the light is BRIGHT -- even with one AA battery. I've used it when doing home repairs in dark areas and it works better than a portable plug-in light.
    Cons:
Has to be twisted on and off. The button switch kills the light while depressed, but I would find it more functional if it wer...
