    must-have flashlight

posted by MasterGee on 02/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Great compact and very bright flashlight. Takes AA's (1 or 2) or 14500 battery. Good solid construction. Fits into every pocket or bag. Great item on your belt when you're in law enforcement or medical services, or just when hiking. Works for hours of heavy...
    Cons:
When voltage level gets low, might jump from high intensity to strobe. Good sign to change battery though.

Always bring it, never out of power

posted by MasterGee on 11/29/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Great device for charging all usb-powered gadgets. It charges my samsung galaxy and my ipod without any problems. Does not just provide power, charges the batteries quite well, half an hour is already enough to continue without it for a few more hours...
    Cons:
Don't forget to switch it off, or accidentilly turn on the built in LED, because that will drain the battery.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very good knife! Very sharp, even after many months of (ab)use.
    Cons:
The only con i could find, is more or less my own fault. When dropping it, some fragments shattered of the point. The knife is ...

    Great easy to use flash

posted by MasterGee on 08/31/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very useful flash, great to use in combination with on-camera flashes (for the strobists among you). Cycle time is a few seconds, quite acceptable. The built in slave function allows you to place it on its stand (included) and shed light on your objects fro...
    Cons:
Only con I can think of is the battery door. While functioning flawless, when opening and closing you need to be carefull, I fe...

    Great lightweight tripod

posted by MasterGee on 08/31/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It is a great, compact and lightweight tripod. Useful for camera or external flash. It pleasantly surprised me, it is quite stable. Quite a good finished product, even better than i had hoped for. Can compete with regular market tripods such as Velbon. Carr...
    Cons:
Do not expect to get Manfrotto-built quality, the legs are somewhat thin, and the light weight makes it more sensitive to shock...

    Great compact flashlight

posted by MasterGee on 08/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is a great compact flashlight, much brighter and versatile than ie. a mini maglite. Nice white light, 3 steps in brightness, lowest is already quite bright, lightest is good enough to light quite a big tent. Good sturdy built quality.
    Cons:
In full-on the head of the light gets a bit warm, not enough to hurt or burn you, just warm. Might even be nice when using it i...

    Great for strobists

posted by MasterGee on 03/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
A great flash to use as a backup, or as a secondary (or more!) flash when being a strobist! Very easy to use, I love the built-in slave function. With the included stand, just put it where you want and start experimenting!
    Cons:
Takes a few seconds to charge when flash is set to full, so don't use it when speed is an important issue.

    Pros:
Very professional looking flash. Good power, easy to operate and very useful as an extra flash for strobist purposes. Swivel head, light sensor (for slave mode), nice pouch and stand (also usable for your other flashes) surprisingly good quality
    Cons:
batterydoor takes a bit of fiddling to open. but when being carefull with that, it is just as sturdy as the great brands Take...

    Nice little radios

posted by MasterGee on 04/06/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Bought these to use during a trip to a festival with 2 cars. Great fun to talk along the way. Range good enough for talking between two cars driving on the highway.
    Cons:
I received the 22channel version (FRS) which is used in USA and not the 8 channel version used in europe. This makes them incom...
