They're really great, except for one thing

posted by Neowizard on 05/30/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I love the sound (but I'm not audiophile). The noise cancellation is really good too. The fabric coating of the cable is excellent (very durable compared to rubber). I enjoy the volume knob and use it a lot.
    Cons:
The length of the earphone cable is uneven for each ear. I hate who ever invented that idea. Also the fabric coating seems to ...

    It's uncomfortable...to a point of useless

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Nice color and not too thick Not too flimsy or too rigid Phone doesn't wiggle inside it Basically, its made of good quality silicone/rubber.
    Cons:
One major con that made me throw it away - it has some dis-figuration around the power button that made it VERY hard to press. ...

You're going to need a lot of sunlight

posted by Neowizard on 05/27/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It's cute, it works and it doesn't get any simpler than this - a vibrating motor directly connected to a small solar panel. The plastic seems very nice for something so simple. I was surprised.
    Cons:
What's up with the price? 1 standard motor, 1 tiny solar panel, 1 plastic case and 2 rubber legs - it should be a whole lot che...

    Thick, weak and ugly...

posted by Neowizard on 05/23/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - There aren't many protectors for P920, so I guess this one deserves some credit for that - Comes with a screen protector - Just what I needed
    Cons:
    - VERY THICK (nearly 5mm thick) - Very weak compared to its thickness. mine is already cracked after less than a month (near th...

A let-down, but it works (mostly)

posted by Neowizard on 05/23/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Looks good (but perhaps that's a matter of taste) - Nice small peep-hole to check fuel levels - The green LED looks good as well as the green flame - If you dislike the LED it's easy to remove (or if you need those tiny batteries) - The lighter switch is ...
    Cons:
    - It's almost as pricy as buying it locally - The flame adjuster and the refuel nozzle are not separate. I don't like that. - ...

Gets very hot - for better or for worst

posted by Neowizard on 05/16/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I was looking for a hot iron, so I got a 60W one. and this one sure is hot. Cools down even faster than my 40W one (don't ask me how). According to my voltmeter, actually reaches 60W when hot (around 58W when cold).
    Cons:
Power cable has no ground pin! Something that gets this hot is definitely in danger of shorts\faults. It *needs* a ground pin. ...

    Good basic set

posted by Neowizard on 05/16/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
For a basic set, you get a very nice collection of picks. The tension wrench has 2 edges of slightly different sizes. Rather durable considering the price (and my expectations)
    Cons:
The wrench is way to wide for some smaller/tighter locks. The wrench's coating peels off after some use (works just as well, bu...

I was expecting a bit more

posted by Neowizard on 03/24/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Does exactly what it says. You heat it up, it shrinks to about 1.5mm - Easy to cut - Small package so it easily fits into any toolbox (no matter how crowded) - Rather flexible so it doesn't get too damaged while it's packed tight.
    Cons:
    - I think it's a bit pricy. - The difference between it's stretched size and it's minimal size is not big enough to make it eas...

I was hoping for more, but it's still good

posted by Neowizard on 03/05/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - What you see is what you get. No funny business. - Good size cord - Good connectors (easy to insert/remove and not loose) - Can be disassembled to cord, connector, clips. Each part can be fixed if torn/broken or used in another context.
    Cons:
    - Bad conductance (about 1.5-2Ohm resistance) - The rubber around the clips keep slipping which bugs me

Not the best but definitly good

posted by Neowizard on 03/05/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Long handles - Good cord length (not too long, nor too short) - Seems like the handles are solid (my old probes broke right at the handle) - I like the protection caps for those pointy tips
    Cons:
    - Not the best conductance (if you're looking for pin-point accuracy measurement you're in the wrong price-range) - The sleeve ...
