Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Well built. Good size. Body is made of some sort of plastic. Probably Acetal. Head is aluminium. The body has a attachment point for a lanyard or a snap bolt. Beam is tight at about 5 degrees hot spot with a little spill.
    Cons:
Mine arrived with a scratch on the head. No big deal Its bound to get more. After 20 minutes of use it started to flicker. I ha...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I used this with a Q5 and it produces a sharp edged beam of about 8 (eight) degrees Its focal length is about 10mm meaning it captures most of the light emitted from the LED and it can still fit in the space of a standard reflector. Comparing this to a Q5 w...
    Cons:

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Perfect fit, good quality, great price when you buy 10. Even if you only want one its going to cost alot more to get one cut up at a glass shop. Then edges are very good quality too. These seem much stronger and scratch resistant than the stock lens but the...
    Cons:
They dont do a 3.6mm version so I need 2 for my mag dive light.

    Very tight beam

posted by Packhorse on 07/03/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This reflector offers an extreamly tight beam. Better than a 8deg MR16 or 6deg 10w HID when used with a P7 LED. The copper base can be unscrewed and you can mount a bare emitter to it. The base and reflector then act as a heatsink though I think you will al...
    Cons:
To get it to mount in a mag head flush you need to grind/machine down the lip. It took me 30 minutes with a dremel and sandpape...
