    good cheap product

posted by Ramvanios on 03/27/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - cheap - fits pretty well for a Sony Xperia S (could have been a few millimeters less wide) - for now, it protects against scratches pretty well (though i'm beginning to see some tiny scratches (after a week of use, on a phone that I keep in my pocket))
    Cons:
    - beginning to see tiny scratches after a week of use (phone in pocket without other protection) - finger doesn't flow well ove...

    Good cheap product

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - works well above 3cm and under 3.5m, everything below or above and it will freak out - works good if you have a flat surface that it can sense (doesn't work superb with small, uneven shaped objects) - easy to wire - software can be found on forums (here a...
    Cons:
    - doesn't work superb with small, uneven shaped objects - if you listen carefully, you can hear a pretty noticeable clicking so...

    Pretty good product

posted by Ramvanios on 03/27/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - cheap product - has 2 rows of header for added stability (even though only 1 row is needed to connect) - works well if you solder it onto a shield or PCB - my advice is to not use it with cables to a breadboard, you'll save yourself a lot of problems
    Cons:
    - very unreliable connections if you use cables and a breadboard (it only worked 20% of the time) - you really have to solder i...

    Good jet lighter

posted by Ramvanios on 01/25/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - good cheap price - sturdy feel - big reservoir for gas (butane) - good sturdy click-system - flame intensity can be changed (although with a screwdriver)
    Cons:
    - my lighter could not be locked on - the lock button seemed damaged - the child safety (I assume it's child safety (the turn-t...

    Cool looking knife

posted by Ramvanios on 01/18/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - the knife is small and robust - the opening mechanism works (even after a few hundred times open and closing) every time - it looks really cool - the knife opens fast and reliably - great price for this kind of quality - it came really sharp out of the bo...
    Cons:
    - the knife is pretty small, but still has a nice feel - not many bad things to say about this knife

    Very good, decent knife

posted by Ramvanios on 01/16/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - sturdy and nice design - the wave opening at the top makes it very very easy to open the knife coming out of your pocket. you kind of hook it onto your pants, which then pulls out the knife - it's much larger then I expected, which is a good thing, it fit...
    Cons:
    - the knife came sharpened on 1 side (which is pretty standard with partly serrated knives), but it's not the sharpest and most...

    Cheap, good product

posted by Ramvanios on 01/16/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - compact - large enough for grown up man - can be worn in lots of different ways (it says on the package) - cheap - looks pretty cool - pretty warm, not superwarm, but it's definitely ok - 100% polyester
    Cons:
    - not the thickest fabric - it smelled a bit when it arrived, so I washed it -> fine after that - it hasn't got a huge level...

    Good looking interesting knife

posted by Ramvanios on 01/15/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - the knife came in a carry pouch (with loop to put on your belt) - knife seems sturdy and durable - very interesting design - opening mechanism seems durable enough (not superdurable, but what do you expect?) - knife was pretty darn sharp (can make nice, c...
    Cons:
    - knife itself is really small (cutting edge is only 5 cm long), but the handle (where you hold it) was more than adequate in l...

    Good lighter

posted by Ramvanios on 01/08/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - Sturdy lighter - big reservoir for gas - works well (if you tune the gas-setting to just the right level) - comes with a cap, hooked to a chain - cap fits well and snug - great value for money
    Cons:
    - doesn't always light on the first go - takes a little bit of fiddling to get the gas-setting to just the right level - chai...

    Good

posted by Ramvanios on 12/05/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Cheap (about half the price of a normal charger here in Belgium), robust, and reliable (so far). I used this to power a DIY ledstrip (which I also bought here on DX) connected to an Arduino board. Everything works well.
    Cons:
If you want to be picky, you could say it's a bit large.. but hey, that's if you're being picky! Not the quickest of deliverie...
