    Great flashlight, very bright

posted by RiltBays on 11/23/2008 Certified Owner

    Pros:
A bright flashlight, with a an effective P4 rated white LED. Excellent build quality, with a flashlight head that has well-made threads that screws perfectly into the body, and also comes a lanyard for the wrist.
    Cons:
For those who need a light for short-range uses (e.g. finding car keys), this light may be too bright for those needs, since th...

    AAA batteries, good battery life.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Batteries last for a reasonably long time, though I haven't verified the stated mAh listed. Casual testing seems to show that they last about as long as similarly rated batteries from elsewhere.
    Cons:
The negative terminal of the battery is completely flat and flush with the battery, instead of the 'ridge' that other batteries...

    Full-featured card

posted by RiltBays on 11/23/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Excellent construction - hardware design is extremely similar to an actual DS card, though slightly thicker. My card featured protective 'teeth' on the back to protect the contacts, which reduces the risk of smudging them. The included microSD reader seems ...
    Cons:
Some of the features are a little tricky to use, with different button combinations required to access features such as the Rea...

Basic flash cart with promising OS

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Packaging fairly sturdy, and the instruction card is mostly straightforward. Plays all known backups, homebrew games, and applications, though some games may require tweaking with the settings. Firmware is partly open source, so alternative firmware is avai...
    Cons:
Build quality of included microSD reader is somewhat low - had trouble with inserting/removing the microSD card after a few use...

    Excellent microSD card

posted by RiltBays on 09/14/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The microSD card comes with a sturdy plastic holding case, and a full-size microSD adapter. After more than 3 months, the card has not failed. The card seems to be well-made, and the same goes for the adapter and the plastic case. The microSD card fits f...
    Cons:
It can be a little tricky to fit such a small card into the space provided in the plastic case, though this may be more due to ...

    Excellent entry-level earphones

posted by RiltBays on 09/07/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Decent sound, and the noise cancellation features work okay. The earphones feel fairly comfortable when placed in the ear. The cord splitter is adjustable, so that it can sit higher/lower upon the cord. The included mini plastic case is also helpful for ...
    Cons:
The cord seems a little thin, so anything that rubs against the cord will be heard through the earphones.

Basic screen protectors - good value

posted by RiltBays on 09/05/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Fairly inexpensive, seems to effectively protect the Nintendo DS screens (top/bottom) against any scratches. Fits the Nintendo DS Lite model of screens fairly well. A set of two applicators for the bottom screen protector means that you can peel off the '...
    Cons:
The material is rather thin, and a bit softer than the Nintedo DS stylus, so through normal use of the bottom screen, the prote...

Basic watch for an affordable price

posted by RiltBays on 09/01/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
A fairly standard watch, with a nice orange-and-black backlight, and large numerals for the time. Fairly lightweight, and all functions (alarm, date/time, stopwatch) appear to work perfectly. Reasonably sturdy construction, though I have not stress-tested...
    Cons:
Since it's mainly made of plastic, it's a bit bulkier than some other wristwatches, though not overly so. The back of the watch...
