    Pros:
High capacity - gives 98% worth of charge in the 0-80% range for your iPhone. Estimated at least 1800mAh in the case Battery within manufactured not long ago, in Feb. I received my case in April. Tested on iPhone 4S Easily modified to charge both case and i...
    Cons:
Charges iphone at ~500-600mA instead of the advertised 1A Case charges at ~500mA as well from USB port Without modifying, turn ...

    Good but capacity overrated

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Protection circuitry prevents over-discharge and over-charge. Length is pretty close to 65mm. Never actually measured but it fits in my X2000 torch. Some complain that protected 18650s don't fit in this torch.
    Cons:
Measured at 1.0A discharge, charged to 4.05V, capacity read off the charger was 1684 and 1724. So the rated capacity of 4000mAh...

    Good for DIY, overrated capacity

    Pros:
It's a battery. Useful for providing extra lifetime for your phone/mifi. I used it for a huawei E585 I could do a DIY modification by removing the lithium battery connected to it and solder on 2x 18650s, providing my E585 with a much much longer battery ...
    Cons:
Tested at 0.3A discharge from a start voltage of 4.09 resting voltage. Cut-off voltage of 3.00V. I know this is not the normal ...

    Decent

    Pros:
Warm light! I used 4m of this to mix with 6m of ~6000K led strips. Produces a decent blend, warmer than fluorescent light. As described, it is 48W for the whole 10m. It might be slightly lower due to resistance of long wires or if you're using long strips ...
    Cons:
None that I can think of. But it can always be cheaper haha. Lumen/watt isn't exactly the highest but it's decent.

    Pros:
Retractable so it isn't messy! Locking mechanism locks the charging cable to your idevice which is useful Retract system is well made.
    Cons:
Thin wires. My guess is 32AWG though I never measured the exact diameter WARNING: due to the extremely thin wires used, it is u...

    Pros:
Takes 18650s. If you have a good number of these, you'll never run out of juice for your devices. Has enough power to put an ipad on charging, tried and tested but not with the included cable. Compact.
    Cons:
Takes ages (>6hrs) to charge the 2000mAh 18650 inside. I charge my 18650s in 1.5hrs using another charger. Doesn't charge ipho...

    Pros:
Very convenient back up power for your idevice. Very portable. Push the button to find out the charge level. It's quite accurate. Has a nice stand for facetime.
    Cons:
Doesn't work with some cases as the length of the connector is too short. I had to sand of the offending bit of my iphone 4 ca...

    Awesome batteries

posted by Schneizel on 05/06/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
They have a very nice shrink wrap, looks professional. Fantastic capacity, raises to 16000mAh (on charging) for 6 cells after breaking in for a couple of cycles. That equates to about 2650mAh per cell. Protection circuit cuts off around 3V Nice for build...
    Cons:
Price, although excellent, is 1.5 times that of its unprotected version which has less capacity (~2000mAh).

    Decent batteries for the price

posted by Schneizel on 08/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very low price for such batteries even though it is unprotected. About $3 per battery. I use them in 18650 flashlights. Fits the flashlights well as they don't have the extra length which protected batteries have. Holds voltage well at 1C (2.5A) discharge r...
    Cons:
Does not hold the voltage at 2C (5.0A) discharge rate. At 1/2C (1.25A) discharge, capacity is 2048mAh+/-. At 1C (2.5A) discharg...
